Here at Tarifa the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. It must be at the little rock sitting on the edge on its own.
Last time we were here, we could enter the fortress and walk over the beam marking the border. This time the fortress was closed to the public, so now you have to take my word for it that the border is there.
For the fishing boats it doesn’t matter. The water at one side of the rock has as much fish as on the other side of the rock.
This point seems to be the best fishing area. Morocco and Spain approach each other the most here and for the fish this is like a funnel in which they have to press through themselves.
A good catch is guaranteed from Roman times on.
