After trying several different things, opa found the trick to let the boys eat vegetables: hamburguesa. It’s made solely of begetables, but because it’s in a form they know from the fast food they eat occasionally, they love it.
Too bad this trick didn’t work either. Hiding the vegetables in pumpkin soup gave the well known result: No quiero.
In the series No quiero (I don’t want that). In Holland we say “what the farmer doesn’t know, the farmer won’t eat”. Pff.
As with a lot of children the grandkids don’t like vegetables. Cauliflower and broccoli, and for the eldest carrots as well. That’s it. And without any herbs, sauce, mushrooms or nuts. The things we ourselves usually add to make it different everytime. No, no changes please, we only eat what we know!
